Tuesday Club Night
We meet at The Bridge Leisure Centre, Broadbridge Heath at 6.50 pm for a 7 pm run. After club announcements runners divide into small groups based on their abilities (or how energetic they are feeling!) before setting out on various runs of varying lengths and intensity. All the runners in the group need to keep to the pace set by the Group Run Leader. Whatever your abilities, there should be something to suit your needs.
When you are running with the club, you are an ambassador both for the sport and for Horsham Joggers.
During the summer, on the third Tuesday of the month, we run from Horsham Park instead of The Bridge.
During the summer, a mixture of either road or trail runs on local footpaths and bridleways take place. These last about an hour, with varying distances pending on the pace. The minimum distance is about 4 miles.
During the winter, road runs take place around the streets of Horsham.
Health & Safety
In the months after the clocks are put back, all runners must wear hi-vis as a minimum and should ideally wear torches.
Do not run with headphones or your dog.
The group run leader should brief the group of the route prior to the run so please listen carefully.
For groups of up to 12 (including the group leader), the group run leader will identify someone who would agree to be at the back end of the group, to ensure no one is left behind. Larger groups of more than 12 will be split into two smaller groups, with another run leader identified to lead the second group, at the same pace.
