Small changes have been made to the way ballot places should be implemented.
These principally apply to club places for the London Marathon.
Eligibility criteria for entry to the ballot for the marathon places
- You are a first claim member – that means that HJ is the only or the first club you registered with.
- You have been a HJ member for at least 12 months at the time of the ballot.
- You received a rejection in the public ballot.
- You have volunteered to support HJ in one or more capacities in the last 12 months, as at the time of the ballot. The capacity to be determined by the committee and could include, for example, run leader for the Tuesday night runs, helping out on the Summer/Winter Handicaps and Improve Your Time Trial.
- You have run for HJ in at least two WSFRL or SGP races in 2024 (and six races in 2025 and thereafter).
- You have not run the London Marathon before.
If you are successful, you MUST
- Enter the race as a Horsham Jogger and wear a Horsham Joggers race vest as you are representing the club.
- Help with the organisation of at least one marathon training run session.
